Ideal candidates should have solid experience with operational WRF modeling. If you are not located in Istanbul, don&#8217;t worry; our company supports hybrid and remote working models, enabling you to be part of our team from afar.<\/p>\n<h2>Your responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Participating in research and development studies on the WRF model,<\/li>\n<li>Operate, modify, and maintain the WRF model and data analysis system on cloud services,<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement advanced data analysis techniques to improve weather forecasting,<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with a team of meteorologists and data scientists to analyze model outputs and real-time observations,<\/li>\n<li>Create and update scripts for a variety of meteorological conditions,<\/li>\n<li>Deliver high-quality and accurate weather forecasts to clients on time,<\/li>\n<li>Write technical reports and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences,<\/li>\n<li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in WRF modeling and data analysis,<\/li>\n<li>Create training material and organize sessions with the team to enhance team\u2019s WRF expertise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Your profile<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of numerical weather prediction and data analysis concepts<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience with operational WRF modeling as well as pre-processing (setup\/configuration) and data analysis steps<\/li>\n<li>Experience with other NWP models is very nice to have<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with high-performance computing and parallel processing<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Fortran is important<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Linux, bash and Python<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with R is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Written and oral proficiency in English at a professional level<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity<\/h2>\n<p>Buluttan Weather Intelligence is an equal opportunity employer.
