Hello, how are you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>&nbsp;I&#8217;m doing pretty well. How about you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;Good, good. We\u2019re here to get to know you a bit better. What do you do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0Well, I do a lot of stuff  a little bit of everything really. I get to work with many of our products, which is probably one of the most exciting parts of my position. I look at usage statistics, I work on applications for events, and I also take care of general emails and similar tasks. Of course, all this as a business development intern. Those are my general responsibilities for now  let\u2019s see what else is coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;How did you come across Buluttan and weather intelligence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0A family friend forwarded me the position, and I applied. I came in for the interview. I did quite a bit of research beforehand. Honestly, I hadn\u2019t realized how much development there had been in weather intelligence in the past year alone. You always hear about AI, ChatGPT, and so on but you don\u2019t often get to see what\u2019s behind the curtain or how it&#8217;s applied across different industries. The interview was with G\u00f6kmen, who\u2019s behind the camera right now, so you can\u2019t see him. It was a great interview. G\u00f6kmen was a little intimidating at first but actually very kind  so don\u2019t worry if you ever come in for an interview. After that, I worked on a case study for us. And now here I am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;How\u2019s it going with the team and daily work so far? Are you enjoying it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0The team is great. Everyone\u2019s super kind. We\u2019ve got a very international team  many of our team members come from different countries. Everyone gets along really well. It\u2019s been a fantastic experience overall. Within my own team, in business development, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buluttan.com\/blog\/interview\/small-talks-with-batuhan-yilmaz\">Batuhan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buluttan.com\/blog\/interview\/small-talks-with-sevim-aydin-kotil\">Sevim<\/a>, and the previous intern Erdo\u011fan have been incredibly helpful. They really supported me in getting started and continue to help, especially as I take on new responsibilities. So overall, it\u2019s been a very positive experience. Everyone on the team has been great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>\u00a0We&#8217;re doing this interview in English because you feel more comfortable speaking it than Turkish. But let\u2019s switch gears for a moment and continue a bit in Turkish. Let\u2019s get to know Ender personally what do you enjoy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0I was born in 2004 and I\u2019m currently studying at the University of Waterloo in Canada. As a hobby, I enjoy reading books, listening to music  especially exploring different genres  and watching movies. I don\u2019t have a Letterboxd account yet, but maybe I\u2019ll create one since a lot of people at the office seem to use it to share and discuss films. Other than that, I\u2019ve practiced Muay Thai in the past. So I\u2019ve always had an interest in martial arts, even if it doesn\u2019t show. I\u2019ve also done some climbing. And I\u2019m into video games  I like playing different types and genres. So yeah, that\u2019s pretty much it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;How do you see the future of weather intelligence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0Based on what I\u2019ve seen so far  and without giving away any trade secrets  I think there\u2019s a lot of potential for applications in fields like logistics and energy, which are already at the core of what we do. At the same time, I don\u2019t think weather intelligence will remain limited to industrial applications. Over time, it\u2019ll become more individual-focused. I imagine we\u2019ll see personal weather intelligence tools  kind of like \u201cChatGPT for weather.\u201d As information becomes more simplified and accessible, individuals will have access to it too. And I think that\u2019s going to be great for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;What would you suggest to people who are curious about this field or considering applying to Buluttan?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0I\u2019d say don\u2019t be intimidated. Like I said, everyone here wants to collaborate and see you succeed. So I wouldn\u2019t let the company or the field itself scare you. Yes, it\u2019s quite a specialized sector, but there are always overlaps. I study environment and business, so I already had some background in climate and weather topics nothing as technical as others on the team, but a general understanding at least. And I mean, weather affects our daily lives all the time. It\u2019s not just something you watch on the news in the morning  it might impact your commute, your company\u2019s operations, or large-scale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buluttan.com\/industries\/logistics-and-mobility\">logistics <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buluttan.com\/industries\/renewable-energy\">energy<\/a> decisions. What we do is quite niche, yes, but weather in general is wide-reaching. So I think it\u2019s a fascinating industry, and I\u2019d encourage everyone to at least learn how it works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>&nbsp;From your experience, what kind of people are a good fit for this industry and for weather intelligence in general?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ender:<\/strong>\u00a0I think the most important trait is a love for learning. It\u2019s really valuable to want to grow and improve. We work with lots of different products and companies, so having an interdisciplinary mindset helps a lot. So someone who\u2019s curious, who wants to learn about many different things  or even go deep into one specific area would be a great fit. In short, someone who enjoys learning. That\u2019s the kind of person I\u2019d recommend for this work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>G\u00f6kmen:<\/strong>\u00a0Perfect.
